About
MDE AP evaluates the three-dimensional positional accuracy of a test Digital Elevation Model (DEM) against a reference DEM. The workflow extracts ridge and drainage lines with GRASS r.watershed, matches homologous pairs, computes mean discrepancy (DM) from double buffers (planimetry) and altimetric profiles, and classifies the result using the Brazilian PEC-PCD standard (classes A–D) or CE90/LE90 thresholds. Requirements: QGIS 3.30 or later; GRASS GIS Processing provider enabled (morphology). No extra Python packages are required. The interface is available in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Results are stored in a project GeoPackage (.pa.gpkg). Developed at the Postgraduate Program in Civil Engineering (PPGEC), Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV), Brazil.
