Pipe Network Optimiser QGIS 4 compatibility
Not QGIS 4 ready Active
Not yet — the latest version declares max QGIS version 3.99.0, so it is not offered to QGIS 4 users.
Least-cost pipe sizing for water networks (EPANET models): exact MILP for branched mains, memetic GA with spanning-tree seeding for looped networks, multiple demand and fire-flow scenarios, Pareto trade-off, BOQ, report and optimised .inp export.
About
Designs the cheapest set of pipe diameters that still meets pressure, velocity and head-loss limits in every loading scenario. Reads and writes EPANET .inp models, works on QGIS layers, and includes its own steady-state hydraulic solver (EPANET 2.2 conventions), so no external simulator is needed. Branched (tree) networks are solved to a proven global optimum with mixed-integer linear programming; looped networks use a memetic genetic algorithm seeded with spanning-tree MILP designs and refined by iterated local search.
