About

QGIS Plugin/Standalone App to manage a local MariaDB/MySQL database with New Zealand LINZ data. Options for database schema management, importing (*.csv) GIS data files, creating indexes and some predefined database views. Handles spatial and non-spatial *.csv files exported and downloaded from LINZ Data Service at https://data.linz.govt.nz/data/ Ability to create QGIS vector layers of the imported data. Options to define known relationships between tables and default symbology and labels for the map layers. A default New Zealand topographic style database is provided that can be loaded into a QGIS project and used to style topographical features. Unlike the "LINZ Data Importer" and "Koordinates" plugins, LINZ Schema Loader loads exported LINZ data directly into a local database without loosing data in large data-sets. LINZ Schema Loader is aimed for Database/GIS administrators and users wishing to build a mapping system for primarily New Zealand data. Requires Python modules for database access (eg. mariadb connector or MySQL connector)
