AutoOD & AgentSim from WorldPop QGIS 4 compatibility
Not QGIS 4 ready Active
Not yet — the latest version declares max QGIS version 3.99.0, so it is not offered to QGIS 4 users.
AutoOD & AgentSim from WorldPop is a QGIS plugin that automatically builds Origin–Destination (OD) matrices and simulates individual trips (agents) using WorldPop population data and optional POI-based destination attractiveness. Key features include: 1. Zone grid creation from boundary with WorldPop population aggregation. 2. Gravity-based OD matrix with exponential or power distance decay. 3. Optional gravity constraints: unconstrained, origin-constrained, destination-constrained, and doubly constrained (IPF/Furness). 4. Destination attractiveness modelling using population and POI intensity. 5. Agent-based trip sampling with optional animated GIF and static trail visualization. 6. Post-processing including generation/attraction analysis, main route extraction, and DBSCAN clustering.
About
This plugin bridges population data and mobility simulation for urban and regional planning. It enables planners and researchers to model spatial interaction, explore trip generation and attraction patterns, identify dominant mobility corridors, and communicate results through OD lines, clusters, static maps, and animated GIFs.
