EDEA LayerFieldTools is a lightweight QGIS utility plugin with no external dependencies beyond PyQGIS/PyQt5. It lets you, from one dialog: (1) load a vector layer from a file and preview its fields, feature count and geometry type before adding it to the map view, (2) inspect the field list (name and type) of any vector layer already loaded in the project, (3) copy selected (or all) fields to the clipboard for pasting into Excel/Notepad, (4) delete one or more selected fields, with a confirmation prompt, (5) add a new field (Text, Integer, LongLong, Double, Boolean, Date) with basic validation, (6) enable/disable labels on the layer, choose the field to display, the font size, and a single label color, with a white halo applied automatically for readability, and (7) optionally assign a different color to each distinct value of the labeling field (rule-based labeling), with an auto-generated color palette that can be adjusted per value.
